This experience became a turning point in his growth as an artist. Following his time at the academy, Jake secured his first-ever publishing deal with Kobalt Music.
Undeterred by the challenges of the pandemic, Jake's prolific releases culminated in his recognition as a top 10 finalist in the Toyota Star Maker competition in 2022. In 2023, Davey experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, marked by the highs of an unforgettable writing trip to Nashville and the lows of undergoing emergency spinal surgery and being diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome—a debilitating spinal cord injury jeopardizing not just his mobility but also his ability to pursue his passion for music.

Despite the challenges, Jake has been diligently applying himself to an intensive recovery routine, striving for the best possible outcome.
